This training is for everyone to get a better understanding of the Getting it right for every child approach and how it can have a positive impact on outcomes for all children and young people, as well as their families.

This course will equip you with a better understanding of GIRFEC, taking you through the themes increasing your understanding of GIRFEC and how it impacts upon your service.

Learning Objectives

– Know who a child’s Named Person is and their role.
– Identify when a Lead Professional should be involved and what their role is.
– Understand how to use the National Practice model.
– Understand the importance of managing concerns, risks and sharing information to support the wellbeing of the child.
– Recognise the effectiveness of integrated working and understand the single planning process.
– Understand your role in delivering positive outcomes for all children.
